Ben’s Cookies opened May 12 at Grapevine Mills, located at 3000 Grapevine Mills Parkway in Grapevine. The U.K.-based shop sells a variety of cookie flavors, including triple chocolate chunk, coconut and lemon. CDC loosens guidelines on social distancing in schools

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released new relaxed guidelines for schools to navigate reopening in-person instruction amid the coronavirus pandemic. As of March 19, the CDC recommends students maintain 3 feet of social distance in classrooms—a decrease from the CDC's original requirement of 6 feet—as long as mask requirements are still universally enforced in schools.

Coronavirus in Georgia: 3 of 4 Alpharetta, Milton ZIP codes see decline in new cases

Between June 24-July 8 and July 9-July 22, Alpharetta and Milton ZIP codes 30022, 30004 and 30005 saw at least an 8% decline in the number of new COVID-19 cases reported, according to the latest epidemiology report from the Fulton County Board of Health; however, ZIP code 30009 reported an increase in new cases during that same time frame. The latest available report is from July 29.

Fulton County Schools to host drive-thru version of First Day Fulton on Aug. 1

Fulton County Schools' back-to-school school supply fair will look a little different this year. The fourth annual First Day Fulton event will be in drive-thru fashion this year, set to take place from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Aug. 1, according to a news release from the district July 30.
