The University at Albany put season tickets for the Great Danes 2021 Football Season on sale this week. The ticket package includes the September 11th home opener against the surging Rhode Island Rams, plus top ranked Villanova, Maine and New Hampshire before the final game of the regular season against arch rival Stony Brook. Yeah, maybe I bleed a little purple and gold but it doesn’t mean that I am wrong when I say it is the best college football you’ll see within a hundred miles.

Bard College junior Christina Kiser has been named Academic All-America Third Team by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Kiser, a women's basketball player, joins men's soccer player Stergios Mentesides ’11 as the only CoSIDA Academic All-Americans in Bard history. University at Albany distance runner Cara Sherman is preparing to move on with her life after college. Sherman, a Mohonasen graduate, is engaged to former UAlbany runner Ryan Udvadia. They’re planning their wedding for June 2022. Sherman is finishing her graduate degree in biodiversity, conservation and policy. She’ll begin a job as an invasive species technician at Saratoga Spa State Park in a couple of weeks.
