Franklin man among six killed in West Virginia helicopter crash

A Franklin man has been identified as one of six people who were killed in a West Virginia helicopter crash last week. Fifty one-year-old Dr. Kevin Warren, a Research Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at Vanderbilt University, was killed along with two West Virginia men, a Florida woman, a North Carolina man and a Texas man in the crash. A Vietnam War-era Bell UH-1B helicopter they were flying in crashed on a rural road in Logan, West Virginia, on Wednesday, June 22, according to reporting by the Logan Banner.

Child thanks firefighters who saved him after hand was caught in pool jet
