A flag raising ceremony will be held on Friday in Colorado Springs to honor the life and service of El Paso County Deputy Andrew Peery. Peery was shot and killed in the line of duty over the weekend in the Widefield-Security area south of Colorado Springs. Andrew Peery was no stranger to service. He served his country as a soldier and he served his community as a law enforcement officer. During his Army service, Peery served as an airborne infantryman. From 2001 to 2004, Peery was a member of the 173rd Airborne Brigade and stationed in Italy. On Sunday, Peery was shot and killed while responding to a shooting in Security-Widefield.

Altitude Sports, Air Force Academy agree to sports broadcast deal

Air Force sports fans will have one more outlet to watch their favorite college sports team this season. The Academy has signed a two-year deal with Altitude Sports to broadcast select games across the broadcaster's 10-state region. The deal starts off September 3rd at 11:00 a.m. with Air Force football's season opener against Northern Iowa.
