Woman Arrested for Aggravated Battery

A Chanute woman has been arrested on two counts of aggravated battery. Chanute Police Department officers responded to the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center for a report of an out-of-control patient that was threatening medical staff. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the individual as they were yelling and refusing to calm down. Officers tried to calm the individual but were unsuccessful. During the investigation, officers arrested 42-year-old Virginia L. Goodman for two counts of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer.

Humboldt gas at $2.77 per gallon? This is the cheapest fill-up in town

(HUMBOLDT, KS) Depending on where you fill up in Humboldt, you could be saving up to $0.02 per gallon on gas. Pump N Pete's at 317 S 9Th St was the cheapest station in the area, according to a survey by GasBuddy, with regular listed at $2.77 per gallon Wednesday. By comparison, the most expensive gallon was at D&D at 103 N 9Th St, where a gallon of regular was selling for $2.79.
