US 380 at Stonebridge Road in McKinney shut down for fatality crash

McKINNEY, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - Eastbound US 380 at Stonebridge Road in McKinney is shut down Friday evening, according to police. Two people were killed in a two car crash. A sedan was traveling eastbound on US 380, slowing for a yellow light at Stonebridge Road when it was rear-ended by a pick-up truck, police said on Twitter. The four passengers in the first car were transported to a hospital, but two in the backseat did not survive. The driver of the pick-up truck was not injured and was interviewed by detectives.  McKinney police are investigating the crash and said that intersection will be shut down 'for some time.'

Two people died in a Friday night car crash on eastbound US 380 at Stonebridge Drive, the McKinney Police Department announced. In a 9:40 p.m. statement, the department stated a sedan was traveling eastbound on US 380 slowing for the yellow light at Stonebridge drive when it was rear-ended by a pickup.

SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) -- A man named Chance Dewayne Henderson was arrested this morning by the Sherman Police Department. According to police, Henderson was found in possession of a stolen truck and firearm stolen in Kaufman, Texas. He was found at the Traveler's Inn of South Sam Rayburn Freeway.

Anyone who is a fan of fresh Middle Eastern cuisine will want to keep an eye out for a new spot coming to Frisco this summer. Naf Naf Grill, which is set to open on July 12, is an open kitchen and bakery that was first established in Chicago in 2009. According to a press release, it has 33 locations nationwide and this marks the first Naf Naf in Texas and will follow with two more openings in McKinney and Las Colinas later.

Denton Frios frozen pops franchise branches out to Keller

Frios hand-poured gourmet frozen pops is occupying a new territory in Keller. Lauren and Robert Penn own the new location along with the Denton drive-thru that opened in 2019. With the Keller storefront coming under new ownership and closing earlier this year, the Penns wanted to continue serving the Keller area by switching the storefront to a mobile Frios “Sweet Ride” truck that customers can book for events and fundraisers on their website.

Here are the 6 newest restaurants coming to Frisco

Foodies can look forward to six new restaurants coming to Frisco. Denver-based Chicken restaurant Birdcall is coming to Frisco at 5350 Preston Road. The company is opening in a space formerly occupied by Taco Cabana, which closed in January 2020, according to a previous Community Impact Newspaper report. The 2,800-square-foot Birdcall location in the Preston Lebanon Crossing is a part of its expansion into the Dallas market with locations confirmed in Plano at Willow Bend, Frisco and Lakeridge near The Colony. The company, which was founded in Colorado in 2016, plans to renovate the building to fit its brand. Birdcall serves chicken sandwiches, salads and tenders all made from natural ingredients. Birdcall did not provide an expected opening date of the Frisco location, but according to a permit registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, construction of the restaurant is slated for completion in October.
