Aggies Extra Points: Texas A&M 34, New Mexico 0

COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M hasn’t been this disappointed in a shutout since Dennis Franchione’s first Aggies squad lost 77-0 at Oklahoma in 2003. No. 7 A&M was on the winning end this time around, of course, but the Aggies are genuinely incensed their offensive line often was manhandled by an (allegedly) overmatched New Mexico front seven over much of Saturday's contest.

Calzada throws 3 TDs as No. 7 A&M routs New Mexico 34-0

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Coach Jimbo Fisher certainly wasn’t congratulating his team for a job well done after the seventh-ranked Texas A&M Aggies blanked New Mexico 34-0 Saturday. “We’re playing very average,” Fisher said. “We’ve got to get better in all aspects and we’ve got to grow up across...

Texas A&M shuts out New Mexico in Zach Calzada's first start

COLLEGE STATION - In a one-sided skirmish with New Mexico on Saturday, Texas A&M running back Isaiah Spiller said the Aggies also began a side fracas with old-fashioned frailty. “We just got a little relaxed,” Spiller said following the No. 7 Aggies’ 34-0 victory over the Lobos at Kyle Field....

Texas A&M shares Breaking Bad-themed graphic for New Mexico game

It looks like Texas A&M has something cooked up for the New Mexico game. The Aggies shared a Breaking Bad-themed graphic ahead of Saturday’s game in College Station. “Breaking Bad” and spinoff prequel series “Better Call Saul” helped put New Mexico, and particularly Albuquerque, on the pop culture map. “Breaking Bad” used symbols from the periodic table of elements in its title sequence as a reference to the chemical themes in the show.

Giddings gets first win of the season with victory over Caldwell

It was an action packed first half between the Buffalo and Hornets tonight. Caldwell would get on the board first with a blocked punt attempt. Jace Aly would get the block and it’s recovered by Adian Torres who takes it 15 yards for a touchdown. Giddings will answer back with a 25 yard touchdown pass from Holden Jatzlau to Jesse Delatorre. This puts Giddings in the lead 14-6. The Buffalo will put 7 more points on the board with a long touchdown pass from Jatzlau to Georges Awad. Caldwell will answer back with a 65 yard touchdown pass from Ryan Shupak to Jace Aly. The game is now tied at 14-14 after a successful Caldwell 2-point conversion. Giddings will go on to score one more time before the half with a rushing touchdown from Hector Granados.

Texas A&M’s young receivers make most of opportunities against New Mexico

Texas A&M wide receiver Demond Demas broke through the New Mexico secondary and pulled all of Kyle Field with him in the process. Looking for more big-play ability out of their offense, the seventh-ranked Aggies got it during the second quarter Saturday when Demas busted loose on a post route and hauled in a 70-yard touchdown catch for a 14-0 lead. The redshirt freshman ignited the Aggie sideline and the 12th Man in the stands with the quick strike, and he started a theme among A&M’s younger wideouts. Demas was one of three Aggies along with Moose Muhammad III and Devin Price to log their first career receptions during the 34-0 victory.
