CALDWELL — The Cameron Yoemen football team dominated the Caldwell Hornets 70-0 on Friday in the District 11-3A Division I opener for both teams. The Yoemen (1-4, 1-0) generated 601 total yards of offense to earn its first win of the season. Caldwell (2-3, 0-1) had four turnovers and only 201 total yards of offense, dropping its third straight.

Navasota football team fights but falls to Yoakum 28-20

NAVASOTA — The Navasota Rattlers fell to the Yoakum Bulldogs 28-20 in the teams’ final nondistrict football game of the season on Homecoming at Rattler Stadium on Friday. The matchup between the two teams became a ground battle as almost all offensive yardage from both sides came on rushes. Navasota’s 333 yards on the ground far outweighed its 84 in the air, and Yoakum threw for only 28 yards while running for 364. Each side saw three players rush for over 50 yards.

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Students at Bryan High School are performing These Shining Lives, a true story about the Radium Girls during the 1920′s and 1930′s. These Shining Lives is about a group of women who paint the hour markings onto watch dials using a radium compound that glows in the dark, according to Bryan High School Fine Arts. Radium Dial, the company, tells them that there is no evidence that radium is harmful, and even says it has health benefits. Unfortunately, the women start to become sick and even get fired from the company, which causes them to take a stand.
