Yuba City Pregnancy Resource Clinic Vandalized

YUBA CITY (CBS13) — A pregnancy resource clinic in Yuba City was vandalized on June 27. According to their website, A Woman’s Friend Pregnancy Resource Clinic is a licensed community care clinic that provides medical consultations, pregnancy testing, ultrasound exams, STD & STI education, prenatal education, nutrition information, fetal development education, referrals, and practical support. Vandals threw a rock through the window of the clinic on Monday, smashing the clinic’s windows. No other businesses in the area were vandalized.

Brinks Driver Teeters Over Edge of I-5, Rescued From Brink of Disaster

Suspect arrested in armed robbery

At 2:24 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22, Holbrook Police responded to Circle K, located at 101 Mission Lane, in reference to an armed robbery in progress. The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Carlos Gonzalez Trejo of Woodland, Calif., was a passenger on a Greyhound Bus. The Circle K is a stop location for the bus line.

Person Cited After Roman Candle Starts Small Fire In Woodland

WOODLAND (CBS13) — A person has been cited after allegedly firing off illegal fireworks in Woodland late Monday night. The Woodland Police Department says, just before midnight, officers responded to the area of W. Beamer Street and N. Ashley Avenue after they spotted aerial fireworks in the neighborhood. Officers got to the scene in time to see the suspect trying to put out a small fire that had been caused by the roman candle. That person was promptly given a $1,000 citation, police say. Sales of safe and sane fireworks begin on Tuesday at noon. Aerial fireworks, like roman candles, are illegal in California unless used under a special display license.
