NATCHITOCHES, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Police are investigating a shooting that killed two people and injured a third at a Natchitoches gas station early Saturday morning. Police say officers were called to the French Market Express in the 5100 block of University Parkway around 2:30 a.m. to investigate reports of gunshots in the area. They arrived to find 21-year-old Marquis Evans of Natchitoches and 23-year-old Daniel Williams of Creston, and another unnamed victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

The Natchitoches Police Department is investigating a home invasion on Sixth Street that resulted in the suspect being shot in the hand. On June 20 around 9:45 a.m., officers with the Natchitoches Police Department were dispatched to the 900 block of Sixth Street in reference to a home invasion. Louisiana – On June 24, 2022, Louisiana State Police reported that the Atlanta Police Department contacted LSP Troop D regarding the arrest of an off-duty Louisiana State Trooper. According to Atlanta Police Department officials, 34-year-old Aubin Young of Lake Charles, Louisiana, was arrested for DWI and other traffic charges following a traffic stop shortly before 2:00 a.m. on June 23, 2022. Young, who is currently assigned to patrol in the Troop D Lake Charles, Louisiana area, has been placed on administrative leave pending the investigation, and the department has recovered all law enforcement property.
