Carbo to seek release from pretrial custody, delay of trial

CHISHOLM — A defendant being accused in the 1986 murder of a 38 year-old woman in her Chisholm Home has filed a motion in St. Louis County Sixth District Court to be released from pretrial custody, and delay his trial, to be heard as soon as practical. In April, a grand jury convened by the St. Louis County Attorney’s office indicted Michael Carbo Jr., 54, with two counts of first degree murder, according to court records. Duluth girls lacrosse falls in regular season home finale

The Duluth Wolfpack girls lacrosse team fell in their regular season home finale to Irondale Saturday afternoon at Public Schools Stadium. Despite Bailey Coole adding four goals the Wolfpack would fall 13-10 at home. Duluth (6-5) will close out their regular season Tuesday visiting Grand Rapids/Greenway.

Wisconsin- Registration reminders as trails are already open in parts of our region. Last summer the state legislature amended the definition of a UTV, or utility terrain vehicle, the law now allows vehicles up to 3,000lbs to be eligible for registration. ATVs, or All-terrain vehicles, can be registered up to 900lbs. Registration must be displayed on the rear plate. A reminder to any Minnesotans thinking of heading over: you will need either a non-resident pass or a non-resident 5-day trail use receipt.
