Vt. man accused of bringing gun, knife to NY amusement park

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (WCAX) - A Vermont man is accused of bringing a loaded gun and a knife into Six Flags Great Escape in New York. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says Frank Owen, 53, of Colchester, was arrested Sunday after security guards found he was carrying a loaded handgun and a switchblade when he was screened to get into the park.

Vermont man arrested at Great Escape

QUEENSBURY | On June 13, while providing routine patrol coverage at the Great Escape Amusement Park in the Town of Queensbury, a member of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of the security screening tent near the front entrance after a guest was allegedly found to be in possession of a loaded handgun and a switchblade knife. The weapons were discovered by security members of the Great Escape as part of security screening prior to guest entry into the park.
