Suspected Kellogg animal hoarder identified

“I’ve never seen anything like that in 20 years as a police officer.”. Kellogg Police Sgt. Paul Twidt was short of words when he recounted the events of June 14, when he played a role in rescuing 85 abandoned dogs and nine cats from a hoarder’s home in Kellogg. The rescue has become Kootenai Humane Society’s largest ever batch of dogs received at one time.

N. Idaho community to honor fallen ISP Trooper Linda Huff Thursday

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Idaho State Police and the Coeur d’Alene community will come together to honor the service of Trooper Linda Huff Thursday. Trooper Huff was a member of the Idaho State Police. On June 17, 1998, she was killed in the line of duty when a gunman showed up on his bike at the ISP headquarters in Coeur d’Alene, and opened fire in the parking lot.

Killer Burger entering Idaho

Portland's Killer Burger multi-unit franchisee Wes Walterman has signed a lease to open the brand's first Idaho location at 85 W. Prairie Shopping Center in Hayden. "I am thrilled that I have the opportunity to be the first to introduce Idaho to Killer Burger," Walterman said in a company press release. "The Killer Burger corporate team has gone above and beyond with the support they have provided me over the last four years.
