After two years, according to The Speak Easy Salon, they are raring and ready to go and open their doors. The grand opening party hosted on Thursday, June 30th, from 6 pm-8 pm in Lakeville, PA, will be all-inclusive. There will be complimentary appetizers and drinks for all but only gift bags for the first 100 guests. As the opening process has been arduous, the grand opening celebration serves as a way to give back to the customers they have kept waiting.

Judge reserves decision on hearing on White Lake quarry

The decision whether or not to mandate an adjudicatory hearing regarding the Adirondack Park Agency’s decision to approve the White Lake quarry project has been postponed. Supreme Court Judge Bernadette Romano withheld her ruling on the matter of the Adirondack White Lake Association’s (AWLA) petition against the Adirondack Park Agency’s (APA) decision to grant a permit without first holding a legally mandated adjudicatory hearing on a highly contested application to open a granite mine in the Adirondack Park. We headed up to the historic Pennsylvania town of Honesdale, PA for the weekend to see why it is one of the hottest places to visit in the Poconos and to answer the question - is it worth the trip?
