Idaho Department of Fish and Game will stock over 27,990 trout in the 10-12 inch range at the following locations in July. Salmon River (Decker Flat to Torrey’s Hole) Stocking of all waters is tentative and dependent on conditions. Dates may change due to weather or staffing constraints. If delays occur, trout will be released when conditions become favorable.

Over 90 super-sized trout, which average seven pounds, were stocked in Kid’s Creek Pond on Thursday, June 16. The extra-large rainbows were used in the production of trout raised at Riverence Hatchery, formally Clear springs Foods, in Mackay who donated them to Idaho Fish and Game. Referred to as brood stock, these hatchery trout are nearing the end of their usefulness in producing the next generation, but will provide anglers some thrilling fishing.

The existing dilapidated bridge will be removed and replaced with a new 50-foot long by 12-foot wide bridge along with new concrete support structures. There will be no access across the creek while the bridge is being replaced. Construction is planned to begin July 5 and is expected to be completed before the Labor Day weekend.

One such animal was spotted recently in a place it is not commonly seen and it has put an Idaho town on notice.
