A Roseburg man was cited after an alleged DUII wreck by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office early Friday. A DCSO report said at about 12:40 a.m. a deputy responded to a sedan off the road near OC Brown Park on Buckhorn Road in the Dixonville area. The driver was allegedly found to be intoxicated. He provided a blood alcohol content level of .18, which is over two times the legal level of intoxication. The man’s vehicle was towed. He was cited for DUII and for driving while suspended and was released.

A standoff with a suicidal man in Jackson Township ended tragically when officers were forced to take action on Thursday night, Pennsylvania State Police reported. YEAGER, RUSSELL E., 78, Hastings, passed away June 24, 2022. Born November 12, 1943, in Hastings, the son of Merle and Florence (Nelson) Yeager. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Tom Yeager; sister, Gladys Pavlock. Survived by sister, Delora Carruba, Ellicott City, MD; brother, Merle Yeager, Philipsburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Russell was a retired teacher from Penn Cambria School District. Member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Hastings. Honoring Russell’s wishes, there will be no viewing or visitation. All Services will be private for the Yeager family. Interment at St. Bernard Cemetery. Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria in charge of arrangements.
