Man charged in fatal shooting of Fayetteville teen

A man has been arrested in South Carolina and charged in the May 13 shooting death of a Fayetteville teenager on Yadkin Road, the Fayetteville Police Department said. Lamon Isaiah Townsend, 21, has been charged with first-degree murder, the department said in a release. His address was not immediately available. Townsend was arrested Wednesday, June 29, in Bennettsville, South Carolina, by members of the U.S.Marshals Service Task Force.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW)– TropicalSstorm Colin formed very early this morning off of the South Carolina coast. Overall, the storm has been very unimpressive as we went throughout most of the day. Partly sunny skies controlled until this evening then a couple of isolated showers and thunderstorms moved throughout the area. Currently, the center of Colin is near the border of North and South Carolina and has max sustained winds of 40 miles an hour, it is barely a tropical storm. Colin will be out to sea by tomorrow night. No major impacts are expected.

Florence Police Investigating Gunfire at Magnolia Mall

Florence Police have identified a person wanted for questioning after a gun was fired inside of the Magnolia Mall. The incident happened around 7 p.m. on June 18th and police have not said whether or not anyone was hurt in the incident. Police posted surveillance photos of the man wanted for questioning to their Facebook page yesterday and with the help of the public, he was identified and taken in for questioning. They have not released any charges.
