Police search for ‘armed and dangerous’ man

CLINTON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — Police are searching for a man armed with several weapons. They believe he is a danger and threat to the public. Matthew John Gilbert, 41, of Kirklin, is described as 6 feet and 2 inches tall. He has black hair, brown eyes, and is 250 pounds.

Clinton Central School Corporation On Lock Out

Clinton Central School Corporation has announced it will remain on a lock out this Thursday evening, June 23, 2022, due to the threat in the community. No youth football camp or summer swim will be held this evening. No students should be on campus. School officials will update the status of the lock out Friday, June 24, 2022. Gilbert Still At Large Following Search

At approximately 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Clinton County Central Dispatch received a complaint of a Disturbance involving an armed suspect in the 4000-block of S US 421. Matthew John Gilbert, 41, of Kirklin, was reported to have entered the residence with a firearm in an attempt to obtain more firearms and money. Gilbert is known to be armed and dangerous and is currently wanted on a warrant for Possession of a Narcotic (Level 3 Felony) through Clinton County Superior Court.
