Nick Castellanos: ‘No excuses, but missing Bryce Harper does hurt’

Hurry back, Bryce Harper. The Phillies are 0-2 without you. And they’re riding a 16-inning scoring drought. The Phils opened a six-game homestand with a 3-0 loss to the San Diego Padres on Tuesday night. They have not scored a run since putting four on the board in the second inning of Sunday’s game against the Dodgers in Los Angeles. The Phils blew a late 4-2 lead and lost that game, 5-4, in the ninth. Harper did not play because he had a medical procedure performed on his injured right elbow earlier that day. He is expected to return to the lineup, as the designated hitter, Wednesday or Thursday.

Carbon-Reduced Chicken Products

Do Good Foods, an eco-conscious startup looking to offer "carbon-reduced" foods, has announced the launch of Do Good Chicken, its first for-sale product. What sets Do Good Chicken apart from other chicken brands is that the company uses an upcycling method in which it takes surplus foods from grocery stores and turns them into healthy feed for its chickens. As a result, one Do Good Foods chicken is able to prevent close to four pounds of potential food waste, which, in turn, curbs nearly three pounds of greenhouse gas emissions.

Or would they throw their support behind Kathy Barnette, a Montgomery County conservative who shot to top of polls for Senate just weeks before the election, or Lou Barletta, the Luzerne County businessman who largely trailed Mastriano in the polls?
