Two restaurants proposed to be built between Walmart and Cabella's in Avon

AVON — Two restaurants, Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers and Charleys Philly Steaks, have been proposed as part of the Avon Plaza development on Chester Road. The location was labeled “Avon’s most desirable remaining pad” on an online land-for-lease listing from the real estate services and investment firm CBRE Group, given its location between Walmart, Cabela's and Menards. The Wickens Herzer Panza law firm is directly south of the land.

Brewery in Ohio City permanently closes

CLEVELAND (WJW)– Bad Tom Smith Brewery in Cleveland’s Ohio City neighborhood is permanently closed. The brewery and taproom, located on West 25th Street, said the closure is because of COVID-19 implications. The Cincinnati location remains open. Bad Tom Smith Brewery opened in Cleveland in December 2017.
