Beer competition benefits local center Cognition | Food

BEULAH — A little beer, a little magic and voila: Five Shores Brewing hosts “Brewmasters,” a charity event on June 29 to benefit Cognition Science & Discovery Center. Local celebrities brewed special beers, which will be sampled at the event. A winner will be determined by the end of the night.

LELAND – Nicholas Rosman Lederle Jr., of Leland, passed away Monday, June 13th, 2022, at Munson Medical Center with his loving family at his side. Nick was born February 27th, 1944, in Washington DC and was raised in Washington DC, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia and Leland in the summer. As a teenager he worked as a machinery builder in the Federal Republic of Germany gaining exceptional talent in skilled metalworking. The adventures did not stop there. He met kings, princes, and spies through his father’s government service and employment with Arabian American Oil Company in Saudi Arabia.

Lucia Kelso Adlfinger was born on May 30,1921 in Rosedale, Mississippi to Harriet Emma McClure Edwards and Lucius Evan Edwards. She grew up in the small Illinois farming community of Carlinville, living in the loving home of her grandparents, James E. McClure and Florence Parker McClure, along with their daughter, her beloved aunt Dorothy. When she was 8, her mother married Dr. Leon Kelso, who served the medical needs of Carlinville residents during the depression, and Lucia was legally adopted.

Teenage stepson charged with murder of Delta State University professor

One suspect has been taken into custody and charged with the murder of Delta State University music professor Karen Fosheim, 57. According to a report by the Darkhorse Press, on Tuesday, around 4 p.m., Boyle Police Officer Justin McClain was conducting a welfare check on North Brooks Avenue.
