Calaveras Fires Destroy Duplex And Home

Valley Springs, CA — There were significant notable fires late yesterday that destroyed residences in Valley Springs and Burson. There was a fire in downtown Valley Springs last night that destroyed a duplex on Daphne Street and spread to some nearby vegetation. It destroyed both units and also spread to the attic. It ignited shortly before 6:10pm. Two firefighters were injured in battling the blaze. The Red Cross provided shelter for a family of three that was displaced.

In the run up to the U.S. debut, the company conducted extensive flight tests in Eastern Oregon, where it experienced a spate of crashes. Truck Stuffed With Recyclables Catches Fire, Prompts Closure On State Route 99 Near Elk Grove

ELK GROVE, Calif. (CBS13) — A truck compacted with recyclables caught fire Monday afternoon near Elk Grove, leading to a lane closure on southbound State Route 99. The California Highway Patrol says the fire happened around 3 p.m., blocking traffic on the right-most lane near the Dillard Road intersection, roughly six miles southeast of Elk Grove. The fire led to a significant backup. (credit: CBS) Crews quickly dealt with the flames, and images from the scene showed firefighters dousing large mounds of recyclables with water. The right-most southbound lane continued to be closed until street sweepers could clear the scene. While the closure didn’t last long, motorists were advised to expect slow moving traffic into the evening. Elk Grove is about 15 miles southeast of Sacramento.

VIDEO: Semi-Truck Hauling Truck Catches Fire In French Camp

FRENCH CAMP (CBS13) – A semi-truck that was hauling another truck caught fire along Interstate 5 early Monday morning. The incident happened along the northbound side of the freeway, near Mathews Road. Exactly what led up to the semi-truck catching fire is unclear, but first responders got to the scene a little after 5:30 a.m. and found the big rig on fire. Crews had the flames under control within a half-hour. It’s unclear if there were any injuries.

The event included the swearing in of our new President Kay G. Ruhstaller, Family Resource & Referral Center. The event also included an installation ceremony of our new Board Members and Officers and the recognition of our outgoing President Chris Kay, Siegfried Engineering, Inc./Carter Imports, for his service as President from 2020-2022. Brawl Breaks Out At Big League Dreams Sports Park In Manteca

MANTECA (CBS13) – What may have started as a friendly game of baseball turned into a brawl in Manteca on Friday night. The Manteca Police Department confirms that there were around 20 people involved in a brawl that broke out at Big League Dreams sports park. Police were called out to the facility 9:40 p.m., but by the time they arrived, they found that most of the people involved in the fight had already left. (credit: Police say one person who stayed had suffered minor facial injuries. A video of the brawl was shared on Facebook and shows the chaos that erupted on the field. According to the park’s website, the facility boasts restaurants, batting cages, a kids’ play area, six major league replica fields, and a 20,000-square-foot pavilion.
