Vaccination rate remains at 21 percent in Colusa County

Colusa County Health officials reported last week that the county is just over 20 percent vaccinated against COVID-19. According to the county’s website, an estimated 21 percent of the population of Colusa County was vaccinated as of May 25. Within the senior community, those 65 years of age and older, an estimated 47 percent of individuals has been vaccinated thus far.

A few dozen shelterless people lined up at the doors of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Friday morning, April 30, to receive COVID-19 vaccinations, a $25 gift certificate, food and tents, tarps and sleeping bags if needed as supplied by Reach For Home, Healdsburg Shared Ministries and volunteer donations. The Johnson & Johnson vaccines were donated by the Sonoma County Medical Associates, the Healthcare Foundation of North Sonoma County and Cheryl Fox Associates. Nearly 50% of Lake County residents have received a dose of vaccine

LAKE COUNTY— Very soon, 50% of the adult population in Lake County will have received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine, and everyone 16 and older is now eligible.
