It's time for the annual Edgewood Rodeo Days in Edgewood, Iowa this Weekend. Gates open at 6pm. Rodeo show time 8pm Friday and Saturday. 6/25/22 Green Lake County Highway F Remains Closed

The Green Lake County Highway Commissioner Friday put out a statement about the County Highway F construction project saying County Highways E and F in the Town of Seneca will be closed to through traffic until further notice due to unforeseen circumstances. The closure will be at County Highway D and F intersections to the East, Fountain Road and the County Highway F intersection, and at the West entrance of Walmart on County Highway F to the West. The road will be open to anyone that lives within the limits of the project and businesses located with the project anywhere the surface has bee milled and re-laid. No semi traffic will be permitted East of County Highway D on County Highway F. Anyone going to or from the Neshkoro or Wautoma areas is asked to take State Highway 73 to State Highway 21 to State Highway 49 back into Berlin until the issue is resolved. Norman Eugene Mueller, 92, of Luana, Iowa passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at his home. Norman was born to Henry F.W. and Margaret Lena (Ziegler) Mueller on August 27, 1929. He attended Luana schools until eighth grade. Norman worked for Brandt Farms and George Walter, before joining the United States Army, where he served honorably in infantry and anti-aircraft during the Korean conflict. After leaving the Army he went to work for the railroad, then for Peglow Ford & Mercury before going to work for the town of Luana where he retired in the late 90’s. Not ready for retirement, he worked part time at Luana Tap.

Evers announces $2.9 million for Southwest Tech workforce development efforts

Harpers Ferry Fireflies are Granny Basketball State Champions once again ...

The Harpers Ferry Fireflies have won the Granny Basketball State Championship for the fourth time in the last seven years, adding this year’s title to those won by the team in 2016, 2017 and 2019. The Fireflies shined their way through four games at this year’s State Tournament held June 11-12 at the Valley High School Fieldhouse in Des Moines, first defeating a team from Indianola, 60-46, before doing likewise with a Prairie Storm team from Kansas, 53-32. After defeating the Ankeny Honeybees, 60-46, the Fireflies clinched their State Tournament Championship with a 47-46 triumph over the Model T’s of Center Point in the championship game.
