In this episode, Tommy and I wrap up our South Georgia trip with a visit to Providence Canyon State Park. The gorgeous formations tells the cautionary tale of Old South Agriculture and what happens when bad farming practices destroy the soil and ecosystem. Although the tale is sad, the park itself was absolutely beautiful. Backpacking and tent camping into the canyon are free, but visitors must check into the Visitor's Center. Day visitors can enjoy 65 picnic tables and two covered pavilions, play ground, and a historic church, as well as a cemetery. The Visitor's Center offers snacks, essentials, water, and souvenirs.
After our visit, we journeyed into Eufaula, Alabama to eat lunch at Big H Chicken.
