Judge strikes down Northland parents lawsuit over masks in school

A federal judge this week dismissed a lawsuit filed by Northland parents opposed to mask mandates and quarantine policies in seven school districts along with cities of Kansas City and North Kansas City. The judge noted Northland Parent Association did not provide enough evidence that children were harmed by schools’ masking requirements.

Northland parents suing to block KC schools mask order

The Northland Parent Association is again taking legal aim against tax jurisdictions over mask wearing. The grassroots association, made up of families in Clay and Platte counties, filed an expedited motion Thursday, Nov. 4, in the U.S. Western District Court of Missouri to block Kansas City’s new mask order for schools.
