ORANGE PARK, Fla. — Increased security and police presence will be at all Clay County schools this week in response to the mass shooting in Texas on Tuesday. “It’s heartbreaking,” Shannon Hube said. “These are my babies too. I have six of my own but these are my kids too.”

The Florida Department of Health has issued an alert for Doctors Lake - Mill Cove due to harmful blue-green algae toxins in the water. The alert results from a water sample taken a week ago on May 17.

There will be an increased police presence at Clay County schools this week out of caution following Tuesday's elementary school shooting in Texas, according to a post made last night on the Clay County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
