Police: Man assaults girlfriend in restaurant parking lot, knocks her unconscious

FRUITLAND, Md. – A Princess Anne man is behind bars after police say he assaulted and tried to kidnap his girlfriend in the parking lot of a restaurant Thursday night. According to police, just after 9 p.m., a report came in of an altercation with a female subject reportedly screaming for help in the parking lot of a restaurant in the 400 block of N. Fruitland Boulevard. On arrival, deputies found a female unconscious on the ground outside the establishment.

Three arrested following recovery of stolen vehicle in OC

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Ocean City Police say a license plate reader led to the recovery of a stolen vehicle early Thursday morning. Just after 4:30 a.m., OC Police Communications issued a broadcast to officers that the reader alerted them that a stolen vehicle was entering Ocean City eastbound on Route 50. Officers were in the area of North Division Street and Baltimore Avenue when they saw the vehicle from the broadcast at the stoplight. Officers then tried to stop the vehicle in the area of 3rd Street and Baltimore Avenue, but the vehicle failed to stop and fled northbound on Baltimore Avenue.

An Ocean View woman has been charged in connection with the embezzlement of over $1 million from her former employer. While working as a bookkeeper at Dovetail Inc., a high-end interior design company in Bethany Beach, Joan Donald "took advantage of her access to the company's financial information, as well as the ailing health of Dovetail’s elderly owner," according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Salisbury man arrested for DUI after leading police on pursuit

SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man was arrested late last week after he led police on a chase. Just before midnight on June 4th, a deputy tried to stop a vehicle after clocking the driver on radar driving at 94 mph in a 35 mph zone on South Boulevard. Instead of immediately stopping, the driver, later identified as 25-year-old Josniel Cisnero, continued southbound before appearing to stop in the middle of the intersection with Vine Street. As the deputy approached the vehicle, Cisnero took off again, leading the deputy southbound on South Salisbury Boulevard while driving erratically and all over the road.

BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Three people, including two Baltimore-area men, were arrested during a large disorderly gathering involving firearms in Ocean City overnight. Ocean City police on bicycle patrol at about 12:21 a.m. saw a large disorderly crowd in the area of 7th Street near Baltimore Avenue, according to a press release.

(SALISBURY, MD) According to Salisbury gas price data, you could be saving up to $0.18 per gallon on gas. According to a survey by GasBuddy, Sam's Club at 2700 N Salisbury Blvd was the cheapest station in the area, with regular listed at $2.81 per gallon at the pumps Wednesday. That was compared to Sunoco at 4912 Snow Hill Rd, where a gallon of regular was selling for $2.99.

OC Police arrest three on weapons charges

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Three people were taken into custody early Thursday morning after police responded to a disorderly crowd. At around 12:20 a.m., officers were on bicycle patrol in the area of 7th Street and Philadelphia Avenue when they observed a large disorderly crowd around in the 100 block of 7th Street. When officers arrived on scene, they found a large crowd of approximately 20 to 30 people gathered in the roadway, and observed an argument between several people in the crown and those near a vehicle parked in the travel portion of the roadway.
