More Wisconsin farmers are getting fieldwork done after a week of mostly-good weather. Amy Penterman and her husband Sander operate Dutch Dairy near Thorp in Clark County. She tells Brownfield a lot of corn went in last week. “We are very fortunate at our farm. Ten minutes before the rains came through, our custom planter was able to finish up all of our corn, so we have all of our corn in the ground, our winter wheat looks good, and we just have to get our soybeans in the ground.”

Clark County Woman Sentenced On Drug Charges

MADISON, WI (WSAU) — A Clark County woman was sentenced to five years in federal prison Tuesday for dealing meth. Samantha Fristoe from Owen received the sentence for distributing 50 grams or more of meth back in June of 2021. According to a press release from the US Attorney’s office, Fristoe and her co-defendant Saige Marten, sold the drugs to a confidential informant in Clark County.

Sex offender to be released and live in Clark County

NEILLSVILLE, Wis. (WEAU) - A registered sex offender is being released from state prison Tuesday to live in Clark County. 66-year-old Jerome G. George will live in Clark County beginning May 10, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. George will be homeless upon his release and authorities will update his address when he has one.
