Caddo Community Association hosts 80s and 90s Banquet

Caddo Community Association sponsored a banquet for senior citizens on Saturday, June 4, at the Caddo Church of the Nazarene. The annual event, called the 80s and 90s Banquet has been a part of the CCA calendar for two decades. It is set for the first Saturday of June, open to any person 80 years old or older, with ties to Caddo.

Fireworks Are Temporarily Permitted in Caney

The City of Caney posted a reminder about its fireworks ordinance to the Caney Police Department Facebook page. While normally not allowed, it is permitted to discharge fireworks within city limits between the dates of June 27 and July 4. It is not permitted within city limits at any other time of the year.

Sara Ellis is one of the few girls enrolled in Ada High School’s aviation program. “I never thought I would want to be in the aviation field,” Ellis said. “I was not good at math or science. The aviation program has taught me that if you have something that you really want to do, like flying, it makes things like calculus easier when you see how they are applied.”
