Edith Lucy (Wonn) Veid, 94, of Lawrenceburg passed away Friday, July 23, 2021, at Ridgewood Health Campus in Lawrenceburg. Edith was born on Saturday, February 5, 1927, in Cincinnati, Ohio and was the daughter of George and Marcella (Steiner) Wonn. She married Edward C. Veid and he preceded her in death on May 31, 2004. Edith was a homemaker and before her husband’s passing in 2004 they loved spending time together at their place on Laughery Creek. She enjoyed swimming and fishing, but her greatest passion in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

David William Clayton

David William Clayton, lifelong resident of Dillsboro, Indiana, laid down his working tools on July 13, 2021, to join again with his family and friends who preceded him on their journey to the next chapter of life. David, beloved son of Clarence Callahan Clayton and Ruby Margaret Stevens Clayton, joined his parents along with his previous wife, Nancy Jo Ryle Clayton, and his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who most certainly welcomed him with a story and a laugh.

On June 11, 1960, she married Elwood Holbrook who preceded her in death in 2020. She is survived by her daughters Gail (Steve) Ferguson and Sheila Sessler; brother Roy Conley and sisters Klena Godbey, Sue Whitaker, Helen McCarty and Nelda Cole; grandchildren Joshua Owens, Jared Sessler, Jacob Sessler, Katelyn (Matt) Brannen, Jillian Ferguson, Nicholas Ferguson and great-grandchild Ryleigh Brannen; also survived by numerous family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Elwood and sister LaVonda Kinney. Visitation will be held Friday, July 23, 2021, from 11:30AM until time of service (1:30PM) at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield, OH, 45014 with Pastor Tim Smith of the First Baptist Church of Trenton officiating.
