TIFTON, Ga. (WALB) - The last two days of filming for the movie “Bandit” will be done in Tifton this weekend after filming wrapped up in Valdosta. WALB News 10 was told the film is a biography of a serial bank and jewelry store robber. Mel Gibson and Josh Duhamel are a few of the stars that are featured in the latest South Georgia film.

'Bandit' to film in Tifton, looking for extras

TIFTON — “Bandit” is casting extras and Tifton residents — or their cars — have an opportunity to be seen on the silver screen. Historic Downtown Tifton posted Wednesday afternoon on Facebook that filming begins Friday, June 18, in Tifton and extras dressed in 1980s style are needed. In addition to human extras, “Bandit” is seeking people with 1980s and earlier vehicles.

Luke Bryan announces Farm Tour 2021 dates

NASHVILLE — As 2021 ACM Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan gears up to hit the road for his coast-to-coast “Proud To Be Right Here Tour” in July, the rural Georgia native announced recently he is also bringing back his Farm Tour this fall. After a forced hiatus in 2020, he will detour from his headlining tour to hit the harvest fields for his 12th Farm Tour, which is set to play on six farms from Sept. 9-18.
