The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (30-12) reach league best 30 wins against the Winnipeg Goldeyes (23-18) Wednesday night at Shaw Park. Fargo-Moorhead got to work early, scoring 2 runs in the top of the 1st thanks to 3B Leobaldo Pina’s (2-for-3, 2 runs, 2 RBIs) 2-run home run. The RedHawks added to their lead in the top of the 3rd, scoring 4 runs off of 2 singles from RF John Silviano (1-for-3, 1 run, 1 RBI) and SS Sam Dexter (1-for-4, 3 RBIs) and a double from DH Ben Livorsi (2-for-3, 1 RBI). The RedHawks led 6-1 in the 6th inning before Goldeyes RF Max Murphy (2-for-4, 1 run, 2 RBIs) blasted a 2-run home run to trail Fargo-Moorhead 6-3 after 6 innings of play. The RedHawks held off the Goldeyes from scoring for the rest of the game and added another insurance run in the top of the 9th inning from an RBI putout from Dexter.
