Summit Nightclub up for sale

(Fargo, ND) -- Summit Nightclub in Fargo is up for sale. The former Africa Restaurant and Nightclub faced trouble following an April 2021 deadly shooting in the parking lot and dozens of police calls. The liquor license for Africa Restaurant and Nightclub was eventually suspended. Real estate developer Tyler Brandt bought the building and liquor license last year.

Moorhead: The Moorhead Business Association is hosting the 49th annual 4th of July Fireworks Show. Fireworks will blast off from Horizon Park at 3801 24th Avenue South in Moorhead at dusk, lasting approximately 25 minutes. The park will be closed starting at 3:30 p.m. The group says fireworks can be viewed from almost anywhere in Moorhead and corresponding music will be playing on BOB 95.1.

Fundraising total continues to rise for North Dakota abortion clinic move

(Fargo, MN) -- The fundraising total is rising for a move across the Minnesota border for North Dakota's only abortion clinic. Red River Women's Clinic has surpassed its original GoFundMe goal of 20-thousand dollars, with a total as of Thursday morning of more than 843-thousand dollars. The clinic director says the facility has also received increased support in other ways, with people offering to escort to the clinic and volunteering professional services. People are also offering hotel points for travel.

Man killed in motorcycle crash near West Fargo identified

(West Fargo, ND) -- We now know the name of the man who crashed his motorcycle Tuesday evening on I-94 near West Fargo. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says 36-year-old Brandon Sola was headed westbound near mile marker 341 around 9 p.m. when his bike began to wobble. Sola was thrown from the motorcycle into the center median, and died from his injuries at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet.

RedHawks become 1st team to 30 wins Wednesday night against Goldeyes

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (30-12) reach league best 30 wins against the Winnipeg Goldeyes (23-18) Wednesday night at Shaw Park. Fargo-Moorhead got to work early, scoring 2 runs in the top of the 1st thanks to 3B Leobaldo Pina’s (2-for-3, 2 runs, 2 RBIs) 2-run home run. The RedHawks added to their lead in the top of the 3rd, scoring 4 runs off of 2 singles from RF John Silviano (1-for-3, 1 run, 1 RBI) and SS Sam Dexter (1-for-4, 3 RBIs) and a double from DH Ben Livorsi (2-for-3, 1 RBI). The RedHawks led 6-1 in the 6th inning before Goldeyes RF Max Murphy (2-for-4, 1 run, 2 RBIs) blasted a 2-run home run to trail Fargo-Moorhead 6-3 after 6 innings of play. Community orchards sprouting up around West Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - The grocery store isn’t the only option for fresh fruit for residents of West Fargo. Thanks to a community forestry grant, the city of West Fargo, in cooperation with the North Dakota Department of Agriculture, has been hard at work planting orchards in various neighborhoods throughout the city since 2017. The fruit varieties used were tested by NDSU at their Carrington Research Extension Center.
