Police Officers Join Together To Honor Former Mayes County Sheriff

A former Mayes County sheriff was given a special escort Friday afternoon. Officers from across Oklahoma gathered at Hillcrest hospital in Tulsa today to escort Sheriff Frank Cantey back to Pryor where he will be laid to rest at a later date. Sheriff Cantey became the sheriff in Mayes county in 2001 and retired in 2012.

Tulsa attorney accused of being 'serial offender' appears in court on rape charge

A Tulsa attorney made his first court appearance Friday after being charged with first-degree rape in connection with reports that he sexually assaulted several women. Jeffrey Price Krigel has been out of custody on a $200,000 bond since being arrested the afternoon of June 11 on the rape charge, which alleges that he raped a woman while she was unconscious and therefore unable to legally consent on April 29.

Owasso Police Warn Of Increase In Car Thefts

Owasso Police are reporting an uptick in the number of stolen cars within the last couple of months. The incidents are happening in different areas throughout Owasso. Lieutenant Nick Boatman, Owasso Police, said the city is still a safe community but crime tends to pick up when the summertime months arrive on the calendar. Lt. Boatman said in April, five cars were stolen.
