Anadarko Police Offer New Details, Video In April Shooting

Anadarko Police revealed new details and video into the night a 25-year-old man was shot and killed by officers. The incident happened April 5 after officers were called to a home in the 100 block of Nixon Drive. A man was unresponsive, the result of a drug overdose, and officers were trying to perform life-saving measures. That person was dead at the scene, but while that was happening, officers were in communication with another person at the house -- 25-year-old Silas Lambert.

Blake Newman will take over the volleyball program. A former professional beach volleyball player, he was an assistant at Edmond Santa Fe from 2001-03 and coached for the Oklahoma Storm club from 2012-19.

A 13-year-old Oklahoma old boy admitted to killing his older brother in March and setting the body on fire, authorities said this week. The boy confessed to the slaying of his 16-year-old brother during a follow-up investigation, The Express-Star reported, citing the Grady County Sheriff's Office. He is charged as an adult with first-degree murder and desecration of a human corpse and arson.

Sara Road widening project slated for fall

Sara Road is still in the makeover process after the City of Mustang teamed up with the City of Oklahoma City and the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority. The authority will award a bidder a contract August 24 for widening Sara Road from SW 29th Street to State Highway 152, with construction to follow.

ANADARKO (KOKH) - Anadarko Police held a press conference on Friday to discuss an officer-involved shooting that occurred on April 5. The police chief, Eric Harlan, showed body cam footage from the incident which he says started when Silas Lambert called 911 to report his friend overdosed on prescription drugs.

ANADARKO, Okla. (KSWO) -The Anadarko Police Department has released body camera footage of an officer-involved shooting that happened in April. Anadarko Police Chief Eric Harlan said at 12:48 a.m. April 5th, officers responded to an overdose. When they got to the home, officers found a man who had overdosed on a couch inside. Chief Harlan says one officer attempted CPR on the man while the other took his friend, Silas Lambert, outside to calm him down after officers said Lambert had become aggressive.
