Greenville man receives community control sentence

GREENVILLE — A Greenville man was sentenced Monday in the Darke County Common Pleas Court. Judge Jonathan P. Hein presided. Daniel F. Alderman, 53, entered a guilty plea in April to count one of domestic violence, a felony of the fourth degree, and count two of possession of methamphetamine, a felony of the fifth degree. He faced a maximum of 18 months for domestic violence and a maximum of 12 months for possession to be served congruently, all of which are not mandatory.

Grand parade registration deadline fast approaching

VERSSAILLES — Versailles is getting ready for two parades. Poultry Days will offer the Grand Parade at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, and the Antique Car Parade on Sunday, June 12. All registration for the Grand Parade will be online at VersaillesPoultryDays.com. Awards will be given for Junior Civic, Senior Civic, Commercial, Theme Award, Queen’s Trophy, Mayor’s Trophy and Chairman’s Choice. The deadline for registering for the Grand Parade is May 21st. State St. When the Pilates business was last mentioned in the Sidney Daily News, its Botkins studio was located at 101 S. Mill St., with another location in New Bremen at 800 E. Monroe St. This past February, the Botkins studio was relocated to a building with more space but needed repairs and restoration.
