Some news segments go viral for all the wrong reasons, this is one of those news segments. Chicago news anchor Jeff Hoover is the star of the hilarious video I saw on Facebook. I think some of my favorite viral videos I've ever seen are of news anchor fails. When you go live on TV, who knows what can happen. The possibilities are truly endless.

Netflix’s ‘Chicago Party Aunt’ Skims the Surface, Loudly: TV Review

There’s no joke too obvious for Diane, aka the “Chicago Party Aunt,” to make with a holler and hefty wink. In the Netflix animated show adapted from Chris Witaske’s Twitter account, Diane (Lauren Ash) is just as loud, coarse and unapologetic as the tweets that inspired her. The closest she gets to showing another layer is her general annoyance with the gentrification that keeps taking over her favorite Chicago haunts. Otherwise, she’s just happy to party, give her beloved nephew Daniel (Rory O’Malley) bad advice, and defend her dirtbag way of life to the death. They eat Chicago food, have wacky misadventures, flirt with learning a life lesson, wash, rinse, repeat. If anyone can count on Diane for anything, it’s finding the crudest, most inevitable punchline for any situation. By the time she and Daniel hit up a barbecued ribs food festival, you can practically mouth her many leering lines about “racks” right along with her.

Lauren Ash and Rory O'Malley on the "Full Circle Moment" of Joining Chicago Party Aunt

The first eight episodes of Chicago Party Aunt make their debut on Netflix this weekend, bringing a one-of-a-kind animated series to the streaming service. The series follows the adventures of Diane Dunbrowski (Lauren Ash), a hard-partying, fiercely-loyal woman from the Windy City, and the relationships she has with her friends, family, and coworkers. This includes Daniel (Rory O'Malley), Diane's nephew who decides to take a gap year before college to discover himself, and proceeds to do so by moving in with his aunt. While the idea for the series originated on social media, in the form of a long-running Twitter account run by comedian Chris Witaske, the Netflix show takes the concept and runs with it, with its ensemble cast helping create some memorable and heartfelt moments.
