Hoosiers hoping to derail No. 8 Bearcats playoff hopes

No. 8 Cincinnati (2-0) at Indiana (1-1), Saturday at noon EDT (ESPN). Line: Cincinnati by 3 1/2, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Series record: Indiana leads 9-3-2. Cincinnati has beaten its first two opponents 91-21, so this will be the Bearcats most challenging test yet. It's also one of two key chances to impress the playoff selection committee members. For the Hoosiers, it's an opportunity to prove the Week 1 debacle at Iowa was a fluke. Winning Saturday would likely put Indiana back in the Top 25 and their big aspirations back on track.

A Morgan Park resident and St. Cajetan Elementary School graduate, Coghlan is a 6’, 220-pound linebacker for the Illini. After checking in following the end of their summer training camp, no one player had their own individual goals, outside of doing their part to help the team win.

Throwback style working as No. 25 Michigan awaits NIU

If it’s good enough for George Patton, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh is here for it. Michigan is playing an old-school brand of Big Ten football. The results are working just fine for Harbaugh, who reminded the masses he does not care about style points. The Wolverines have relied on...

Big Ten Breakdown: A Complete Recap of Week 2 in B1G Football

From "big summer blowouts" (yes, I just quoted Frozen) to College GameDay matchups, let's take a look at what went down during Week Two of games in Big Ten football. The Fighting Illini looked to bounce back from a week two loss to the UTSA Roadrunners against the Cavaliers, however they fell *really* short, rushing for 116 yards and passing for 221, yet only scoring twice against the Hoos. Virginia, on the other hand, had quite the game offensively, as senior quarterback Brennan Armstrong went OFF for 405 yards and 5 touchdowns on the day.

Nebraska prepares for Sooners with 28-3 victory over Buffalo

Slow start dooms ISU at Northwestern

EVANSTON, Ill. -- The cliché is football is a 60-minute game, and much of the time, that's true. However, the 15 minutes of dominance Northwestern had over Indiana State in the first quarter was what largely determined the outcome in the Wildcats' favor. Northwestern rolled up 172 of its 275 yards of total offense in the opening stanza and then held the Sycamores at bay in a 24-6 victory at Ryan Field on Saturday.

Game Recap: Northwestern Takes Down Indiana State in 24-6 Victory

The Northwestern Wildcats quite literally ran all over the Indiana State Sycamores in their Week 2 contest, resulting in a 24-6 win. Chicago's Big Ten team controlled the narrative on their home turf, rushing for 209 yards and averaging 4.5 yards per carry, while also tallying up 66 passing yards. Although the Wildcat offense was dominant in the first quarter, they stalled out in the second quarter and half to ultimately score only 10 more points on a touchdown from Hull and one field goal, despite several punt returns into the Sycamores' side of the field.
