Woman accused of stealing unlocked work truck from Midstate driveway

PUTNAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — A 22-year-old woman arrested last week is facing an auto theft charge after deputies say she stole someone's work truck from their driveway. The Putnam County Sheriff's Office says the vehicle was allegedly stolen from Lakeland Drive near City Lake. The victim's work truck had reportedly been parked in their driveway, unlocked, with keys and wallet inside.

RBSPD Observes Burglary in Progress

In the early morning hours of June 22nd, a Red Boiling Springs Police Officer foiled a burglary in progress at 150 Old Barton Road. An Officer observed a male running from an abandoned building carrying a large mattress cover filled with commercial grade wire. The male disappeared into the wood line. RBS PD and a Macon County Deputy gave chase through the wooded area with no result. Shortly after, a vehicle that was known to law enforcement was seen fleeing the area.

Carthage, TN. Upper Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation alerts residential and commercial members to expect higher electric bills due to record-setting temperatures and an increase in Tennessee Valley Authority’s Fuel Cost Adjustment (FCA). On July 1, TVA’s FCA will cost 2 cents per kilowatt-hour more than last July. Families who use 1,000 kilowatts each month will see an average increase of $20.73 on their electric bill compared to July 2021.
