When is the deadline for the 6th ‘Do it for Babydog’ West Virginia vaccine lottery drawing?

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WOWK) — This coming Sunday, July 25, is the deadline to register for the sixth round of the “Do it for Babydog” vaccine lottery in West Virginia. Eligible West Virginians have until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, 2021, for their names to be included in the Wednesday, July 28 drawing of the “Do it for Babydog” vaccine lottery. The winners for that drawing will actually be selected on Monday, July 26 and then announced on Wednesday, July 28.

West Virginia Department of Education introduces contest to increase vaccinations amongst students

CHARLESTON — The West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) announced its latest initiative to encourage students, teachers and staff to be vaccinated. The “I Got Vaxxed Competition” is designed to encourage vaccinations among eligible, school-age students and school personnel. Throughout the state, one high school, one middle school and one elementary school will earn $5,000 for having the highest percentage of eligible persons vaccinated. The WVDE will award those schools $5,000 for student activities during the 2021-22 school year. The winners of this challenge will be announced the week of October 3, 2021.

Justice’s goal reached for vaccinations

CHARLESTON — It took nearly 25 days, but West Virginia finally hit a goal set by Gov. Jim Justice for receiving at least one shot of a COVID-19 vaccine.
