UPDATE — More charges filed against Mason City man accused of shooting at multiple residences

MASON CITY — Three additional charges have now been filed against a Mason City man accused of shooting at multiple residences since the start of April. 43-year-old Harley Llewellyn was arrested on Tuesday after a search warrant was executed at his residence in the 1800 block of South Taft, where officers recovered two handguns. Llewellyn was charged at the time of the arrest for the April 25th shooting of a private residence in the 800 block of 9th Northeast, with court documents stating that Llewellyn was allegedly attempting to provoke fear of possible serious injury to a specific person and his family.

Voter pre-registration deadline for June primary is next Monday

MASON CITY — Next Monday is the final day to pre-register to vote in the 2022 Primary Election. The county auditor’s office will be open until 5 o’clock next Monday night for those wishing to pre-register. Completed voter registrations may be mailed to the county auditor’s office, but those mailed forms must be postmarked on or before next Monday to be considered on time to be pre-registered for the primary. A person who registers at the polls on Election Day must be able to provide acceptable proof of identity and current residency in the precinct.

SE Minnesota to see traffic delays from rumble strip installations

ROCHESTER, Minn. – Rumble strips are being installed on various state highways in southeast Minnesota. The Minnesota Department of Transportation says delays should be minimal through work zones. On two-lane roads, drivers will take turns using the single open lane while being directed by flaggers. On four-lane roads, there will be lane closures. Drivers are encouraged to be alert for wet paint signs and pylons identifying where new striping has been placed after the rumble strips are done.

Cerro Gordo County looks towards the future with new public health director

(ABC 6 News) - Karra Vogelson was announced as the Cerro Gordo County Public Health Director this March. Now that she has been in that role for nearly a month, she is now looking to the future with her vision for the county. Vogleson is wanting to build up the next generation of public health officials by inviting medical students, interns and volunteers to their academic health department to introduce them to the system.
