S. Utah man linked to more than a dozen burglaries around St. George area

ST. GEORGE — A southern Utah man accused of being serial burglar around the St. George area for nearly a year now faces 41 criminal charges. Aaron Dennis Foote, 44, of St. George, was charged Thursday in 5th District Court with engaging in a pattern of unlawful activity, a second-degree felony, in addition to numerous other crimes.

Man arrested after police say he shot a gun inside St. George hotel

ST. GEORGE, Utah — St. George police took a man into custody Friday after they say he shot a gun on the second floor of a hotel and fled the scene. Police say the suspect, Sergio Availa, fired a weapon inside the La Quinta, located at 91 East 2680 South at 9 a.m. They also say other businesses in the area were notified by dispatch about the situation.

Red Cliffs Temple gets Angel Moroni statue

ST. GEORGE — Installation of a towering, gilded statue of Angel Moroni drew dozens of onlookers to the Red Cliffs Temple construction site on Tuesday. Crane operators and construction workers collaborated to hoist and secure the statue to a central spire that rises above the three-story building.
