21-year-old man injured in early morning shooting in Syracuse

Syracuse, N.Y. -- A 21-year-old man was injured in an early morning shooting on Syracuse’s West Side Sunday, police said. Around 12:47 a.m., a man arrived at Upstate University Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, according to a news release from Syracuse police. The victim arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle, police said.

Four months in federal prison, Cor Development executives released

(WSYR-TV) — Syracuse-area developers Steven Aiello and Joseph Gerardi were released from federal prison on Saturday, July 2, according to federal prison records. Two executives of Cor Development Co., Aiello and Gerardi were sentenced back in 2018 for involvement in a bid-rigging scheme involving bribery of a top Governor Andrew Cuomo aid.

Young Naturalists Camp Pratts Falls July 5th - 8th, 10 AM - 3 PM Entering grades 3 & 4 This camp will be focused on immersive outdoor experiences that will introduce campers to the wonders of our local environment. This little guy first came to the shelter as part of a hoarding case several years ago. He was adopted, but found himself back at the shelter when his family was no longer able to care for him. Spanky was well-loved but sheltered and somewhat indulged; for example, he was given hot dogs and leftovers, never dog food, and he was not used to being on a leash.
