A Missouri man was arrested after an alleged attack on a woman at Motel 6 in Wildwood. Sumter County sheriff’s deputies were called at 1:29 a.m. Sunday to the motel on State Road 44 where they found a woman in the outside parking lot, according to an arrest report. She said she had been in a room standing at the foot of a bed when 60-year-old Scott McManigal of Harrisonville, Mo., kicked her in the face. She had suffered a small cut to the upper lip.

The Clinton School District Announces Amanda Blackwell as New Middle School Math Teacher

The Clinton School District is excited to announce that Amanda Blackwell is joining the Clinton Middle School team as a math teacher. Mrs. Blackwell actually began her teaching career as a Clinton Cardinal 14 years ago when she was a CMS Discovery teacher. Since then, she has taught at Green Ridge and Sherwood, where she spent the last 10 years teaching multiple math, history and computer classes. Amanda has also been an adjunct instructor for Central Methodist University.

Two Pleasant Hill residents seriously injured

Two Pleasant Hill residents were seriously injured today after being involved in a motorcycle accident. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Charles Ferguson, 49, and Christina Ferguson, 47, were traveling southbound on Missouri Highway 7 when the motorcycle traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting both occupants.

A one-vehicle accident killed two Windsor residents Friday night in Calhoun. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an eastbound 2006 Chevrolet, driven by 38-year-old Christopher S. McCartney of Windsor, was at 200 West Main in Calhoun, when the driver failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, struck an embankment, traveled off the roadway and struck a tree.
