Dad of boy fatally shot on I-75: 'We need everybody's support'

A day after their 2-year-old son was fatally shot on Interstate 75, a Metro Detroit family is pleading for tips leading to a suspect and working to keep his memory alive. "We're still trying to find who is responsible," Brian Christian, the child's father, told The Detroit News on Friday night. "Any information that would be helpful, we would appreciate it. We need everybody's support.

Harrison Township Shooting Suspect Released Pending Further Investigation

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, MI – On Wednesday June 16th, 2021, at 12:55am, Macomb County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Prentiss Apartments for a man that had been shot. Upon arrival, deputies located Jomarr Pye, 43-years-old, of Harrison Township lying on the ground with a single gunshot wound to the chest. The suspect, a 66-year-old man from Harrison Township was performing chest compressions on Pye. Pye was pronounced dead at the scene.
