One of my favorite foods and local events took over Riverview Park in Cascade this past weekend! The Cascade Area Chamber of Commerce's 8th Annual Cascade Wing Fest was a blast in Cascade, Iowa. The afternoon of fun, friends, and community from 3 to 7pm; featured all of the things you could possibly want from a great wing festival. The main ingredient is of course killer chicken wings, along with cold beverages and great music.

Tubing ends in drowning along Wapsipinicon River

LINN COUNTY, Iowa — Authorities are investigating the drowning of a woman along the Wapsipinicon River in Linn County. Crews were called to the river by a friend who saw the woman's tube go by without anyone in it. Authorities rescued the caller between Paris River Bridge on Sutton Rd and Paris Rd in Linn County.

Motorcyclist leads police on chase in Robins

ROBINS, Iowa (Iowa's News Now) — A motorcyclist led Robins Police and Linn County Deputies on a high speed chase Thursday. The motorcyclist, 22 year-old Blake Christensen of Center Point, was traveling north bound on N Center Point Road in Robins when a police officer attempted to stop him for no plates. Christensen sped off at a high rate continuing north. When he attempted to turn right on Cummings Ford Road, he lost control and crashed.

Delaware County Holding Public Hearing on Proposed Hog Building Near Dyersville

A public hearing will be held later this month on a proposed hog building just west of Dyersville. Delaware County has received a construction permit application for a confined feeding operation from Wessels Farm Operations LLC, owned and operated by Gary Wessels. They’re proposing to build a new 4,200 head deep-pit swine finisher confinement building at an existing swine confinement facility in Section 35 of Bremen Township.
