“Beach Boy” Brian Wilson and “Wheel of Fortune” Dream Vanna White: When Two Very Different Legends Met

As a Page for NBC in the “Big ‘80s,” I worked on a great many game shows that were taped at the Burbank studios during that era. SuperPassword, The New Let’s Make A Deal, Scrabble, and Wheel of Fortune. Next to Jeopardy and The Price is Right (on CBS), Wheel Of Fortune remains one of the most popular, long-lasting game shows to air on any network, broadcast, cable, syndicated, or otherwise. Like Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune was created by talk show icon and media mogul Merv Griffin.

The 2022 MLB regular season is nearly three months old and the contenders are separating themselves from the pretenders. Several teams that started out hot have come back to Earth (like the Angels) and others that started slowly have made a climb up the standings (like the Braves). Fort Tejon Historic Park

Fort Tejon is a former United States Army outpost which was intermittently active from June 24, 1854 until September 11, 1864. The fort's mission was to suppress stock rustling and protect settlers from attacks by Native American tribes. It's located in the Grapevine Canyon along the interstate 5 highway, and comes just before you head over to the Tejon Outlet. On our visit, the park was nearly deserted and none of the buildings were open so we had to look through the windows. It really felt like we transported back in time to the mid 19th century. I would like to visit again in the future when the buildings are opened up to the general public.
