Schenectady’s Jazz on Jay Schedule Announced

Summer 2022 free music lineups are popping up all around the state, and the annual “Jazz on Jay” series in Schenectady once again has a stellar lineup to share. Every Thursday, a free jazz performance will take place on the corner of Jay Street and State Street from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m., perfect for lunchtime enjoyment in the Electric City. Jazz enthusiasts will get to enjoy singers and instrumentalists from across the region.

HANSON WINS ONE AT FONDA ON HIS FATHER’S BIRTHDAY

FONDA, NY – The Hanson Paving Modified has been competing at the “Track of Champions” for a long time and is part of the track’s history. Ken Hanson competed at the track in car #20 and has one career victory to his credit coming back on 7/5/1986. Craig Hanson competes at Fonda in car #20C and on Saturday evening he added to the history of the Hanson family at Fonda with his eighth career win. What made it even more special is that it came on his father Ken’s birthday!

North Country bass fishing restricted until June 15

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) — Black bass fishing seasons will remain closed in the North Country for just over another month. According to the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, largemouth and smallmouth bass fishing is prohibited in the Jefferson and St. Lawrence county waters until June 15, encompassing Lake Ontario, St. Lawrence River and their tributaries.
