High-speed chase ends in arrest, damaged CPD vehicle

CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman Police Department officers were called to Walmart North Tuesday at 8:29 a.m. regarding two people making fraudulent returns. Local swimming incident shared through a diver’s eyes

CULLMAN, Ala. – Members of the Cullman County Diving Team were holding a scuba-diving class at Smith Lake Park’s pool when commotion began involving a minor male in a potential drowning incident on Saturday afternoon.  Trimble and Crane Hill Firefighter Ricky Krause, who is also a member of the dive team, shared with the Tribune how fast a situation like this can progress. Mr. George Walter Crews better known as “GW”, 84, of Winfield, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, in the Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham. He was born in Fayette County on Feb. 20, 1938, to Grady and Audie Flyne Crews. Mr. Crews was a member of the Mt. Willing Freewill Baptist Church. He was a farmer, small engine repairman and musician. He was a very talented man that has written many songs and always told others he was inspired by Hank Williams, Sr. to write songs and play music.
