Car Crash Kills Ocean City Man

An Ocean City man died in a car crash Tuesday evening, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Police Chief Jay Prettyman said in a news release. According to police, at about 6:10 p.m. Ocean City police officers and EMS responded to the intersection of Ninth Street and Bay Avenue for a report of a serious motor vehicle crash.

A passenger was killed Tuesday in Ocean City after another vehicle hit the car he was riding in, authorities said. The Ocean City Police were called to the intersection of 9th Street and Bay Avenue at 6:10 p.m. for a report of a serious crash, according to a joint statement from the department and Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.

Wildwood police arrest 2 who sought to fight with gun, hammer

WILDWOOD — Authorities arrested two men Monday after they allegedly sought to fight each other with a gun and a hammer. At 3:56 p.m., police received a 911 call reporting a subject with a handgun in the 300 block of West Taylor Avenue. During the course of an argument, Ronald Brinkley, 30, of Wildwood, retrieved a firearm from a residence in the block, while Stanley Warner, 38, of the Villas section of Lower Township, armed himself with a hammer from a nearby vehicle, police said in a news release.

Yes, you are paying more for gasoline this week. Mid Atlantic AAA issued its latest gas price survey this morning and it shows Cape May County drivers paying an average of $3.10 per gallon. That’s up by two cents over one week ago, and a full dollar higher than prices were at this time last year. Only the Trenton area is paying more for gasoline in the Garden State.
